The A lakes is Clifton Lakes (try Serpentine or the small one on the opposite side of the track its round with an Island in it (looks like a doughnut) cant remember name holds good carp and Barbel. A place past Billy Makins in Wolvey called Bramcote Mains (not sure of the Spelling, this was an old trout fishery now a carp lake. Havent fished it for a number of years. But fish in there then were doubles so must be some twenties in there now. Tingrith lakes off M1 juntction 11 or 12 isnt bad few lakes nice fish. They have a web site as well.

Will keep you posted on anymore.

Have you tried Barby Mill Pools in Barby. My old mate Richard Bubb runs it and that has been throwing up some 20's over the last couple of years. There is also a chance of a cat fish while your there. Its a day ticket and isnt exspensive either. The lakes on the A5 complex always give up some good fish and the Canal around the back of Daventry Res (the Runners) holds some good fish its all down to location there though? It all depends on how far you want to travel, Bluebell lakes at Tansor is good, try there Website. Castle Ashby Lakes in Castle Ashby Northampton holds some fish they also have a website. I would go into Banks and Burr in Rugby (Carlton and Tony) will give you some advise for the area. I belong to Linford Lakes Newport Pagnell, they have a day ticket lake (heron) which holds good fish a sprinkling of 30's to boot. Check the web site out and go to the lakes section and the day ticket lake tab for more info.
